At the beginning of the event, Rector R. Tojiyev congratulated the participants on the upcoming Press and Mass Media Workers' Day, celebrated annually on June 27. He expressed his gratitude for their continued cooperation with the university and wished them continued professional success.
Following this, Azizkhon Khodjayev, Executive Secretary of the University's Admissions Committee, provided detailed information on the newly introduced academic programmes and admission quotas for the 2026/2027 academic year. He noted that, in order to ensure an efficient, transparent, and fair admission process, a dedicated Admissions Committee has been established, comprising the university's most qualified staff members.
In addition, a Call Center and an Advisory Center have been established to provide prompt responses to applicants and their parents, as well as to process inquiries efficiently. More than 20 experienced and responsible university staff members have been assigned to these centers.
At the end of the press conference, journalists received comprehensive answers from experts to their questions. Afterwards, a press tour was organized, during which participants were introduced to the university's measures aimed at preventing corruption during the admission process and creating a campus environment free from crime.
The participants also visited the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, the Information Resource Center (IRC), the Distance Learning Center, and the "Airoinjinering" Technopark.
The "Airoinjinering" Technopark is being established to promote the introduction of innovative technologies in agriculture, advance scientific research, and strengthen the integration of education, science, and industry. The technopark will serve as a modern platform for testing advanced agricultural technologies, implementing innovative developments, and creating new technological solutions.
It will also contribute to the development of practical knowledge and professional skills among students, researchers, and industry specialists. The project includes the construction of modern infrastructure, research laboratories, experimental fields, and all necessary facilities to support innovative activities.
The technopark is expected to enhance the efficiency of the agricultural sector, promote the rational use of resources, and accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies. Construction of the "Airoinjinering" Technopark began in October 2025, and it is expected to become a key center for scientific and innovative development in the region.
